and even if it's sunday may I be wrong

I warned you that you'd be seeing a lot from E. E. Cummings. Even though I shared the Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock yesterday, don't get the idea that I'll only be posting the most well-known poems, the ones often associated with National Poetry Month. This is more about me sharing with you the poems that have broken me open or forced me into the stars.

  1. Favorite line:

"may my mind stroll about hungry
and fearless and thirsty and supple"

I hope my mind does this every day! Great post, Liz!

    1. Happy to share :) I love that stanza. My favorite line:

"and even if it's sunday may i be wrong
for whenever men are right they are not young"

  2. SO LOVE this poem--my fave line is always: "May my heart always be open to little birds who are the secrets of living."

  3. Great poem! Keep 'em coming :) And, since today is 'E' day for the A to Z Challenge, your choice of E. E. Cummings is very appropriate.

My favourite line, the one that jumped out at me, is the same that Katy chose:
"may my mind stroll about hungry
and fearless and thirsty and supple"

    Amen to that :)
