RSW Update #8

Ready. Set. WRITE! is a summer writing intensive--hosted by Katy UppermanAlison MillerJaime Morrow, and Erin Funk--that encourages goal-setting and accountability, and provides an opportunity for us to cheer each other on wherever we’re at in our writing—planning, drafting, revising, or polishing.

1. How I did on last week’s goals
Didn't meet them, but that's okay.

2. My goals for this week
I have more time for writing this week, so I'm hoping for some good progress. I'm shooting for 5,000 words.

3. A favorite line from my story

They all three crossed their arms, right under their breasts, pushing their cleavage as far above their church-approved one pieces as possible.

I caught Jordan doing his best not to look at them but failing miserably, and I had to force myself not to laugh at him.

4. The biggest challenge I faced this week
My husband is working a lot this week, so I spent as much of my free time with him last week as possible, which ate into my writing time.

5. Something I love about my WIP
Tennessee summers.

  1. I have learned over the years that spending time with the family is just so much more important than the writing. So, I'm very glad you spent QT with the hubs last week! Also, LOVE the excerpt! Good luck this week with your writing goals, Liz!

  3. You win the Best Wife award. This past week I told my husband to just play video games and watch movies because I had to get these revisions done. :)

Good luck meeting your 5K goal this week!
