Representation News

I rewrote the title to this blog post several times, and I'm still not satisfied with it. It's something I've wanted to write, even dreamed of writing after reading similar posts by friends, but now that I'm the one writing it it feels surreal.

I'm excited to announce that I'm now being represented by Rena Rossner of the Deborah Harris Agency--specifically for Stars & Stripes (that Civil War novel I started during NaNoWriMo two years ago, the first and only time I've done NaNO.)

I guess that makes it almost two years to the date that I started this novel, and it's been a crazy, crazy trip: from a horrible first draft; to months of research, rewrites, and revisions; to 9+ months of querying, here we are.

I'm so excited to be working with Rena. From one conversation I knew she understood my book and my characters, and I'm thrilled to start this next chapter. And begin another round of waiting :)

This definitely earns the official seal. Happy Thursday.

Somehow STARS & STRIPES came up in conversation the other day and my daughter said it sounded like the most amazing book she's ever heard of.

    Hurray!

  6. Congrats, what wonderful news! And I love history, so Stars and Stripes sounds right up my alley. After the Revolutionary War time period, the Civil War is my next fav.
