What's Up Wednesday

“What’s Up Wednesday” is a weekly blog hop by Jaime Morrow and Erin Funk. From Jaime: It’s similar in some respects to the Currently… post, but it’s been whittled down to only four headings to make it quicker and more manageable on a weekly basis. Be sure to visit Jaime's blog to add your post to the link list!

What I'm Reading: I just finished Creed by Lindsay Currie and Trisha Leaver. So good! Now I'm debating jumping back into my Harry Potter reread (book six) or finishing off the Something Strange & Deadly series by Susan Dennard.

What I'm Writing: On Monday I wrapped up a round of revisions on Stars & Stripes (my YA historical fantasy), which means I can get back to revising my ghost story!

What Works For Me:  This week? Fall is finally here. I woke up to this beautiful sight this morning. Unfortunately, we're in for some storms tonight so the rest of the leaves will probably fall much sooner than I'd like. I've also loved having Twitter writing parties this month. They have kept my so accountable!

What Else Is New: Nothing too fancy. Just getting ready for the holidays. I had a lot of vacation time that doesn't roll over, so I've been taking most Fridays off, which has been lovely!

What's up with you?

  2. I've just started a re-read of the Harry Potter series, it hasn't been that long since my last one but I have a nice new set and I wanted to break them in :)

  3. I'm envious that fall is only just arriving where you are. We came home from vacation the other day to find everything buried in snow. Nice job on finishing your round of revisions and good luck diving back into your ghost story! :)

  4. Oh, the fall leaves are lovely, especially from afar. ;-) I'm thrilled that you're done revising STARS & STRIPES. I think it goes without saying that I'm cheering that book all the way to a sale. Have a great week, Liz!

  5. I love fall and the leaves. Unfortunately here in Alberta, fall doesn't last very long. We're covered in snow and it's super cold. Brrr.
I want to reread HP one of these days, it's been so long, but there's always so many other books on my TBR!

  6. That is a beautiful picture. Like Erin, I'm jealous that fall is still happening where you are.

  7. Congrats on getting through another round of revisions! That feels like cause for celebration. :-) Love the picture of the leaves on your lawn. We've moved past that point to snow on our lawns. Boo. Hope you have a wonderful week, Liz! :D

How exciting to have another revision complete. I am *so* thrilled to know you have an agent and I hope the good news of publication comes soon :D

  9. Gorgeous picture! I've been in NZ ten years but it still feels wrong to be having spring in November. I miss those fall days :) Great news on the revision!
