With my novel In the Shadow Garden coming out on September 13, 2022, I decided to grow my own shadow garden to celebrate! I created a Pinterest board where I'm keeping track of my progress and the plants I'm growing (because if I love anything, it's creating a Pinterest board).

Nightrider Lilies
I spent a lot of time (I mean a lot of time) on Google and Pinterest looking for plants to grow. This was, of course, very important research and I regret none of it. During said research, I cam across these Nightrider Lilies. As someone who has an entire garden full of black lilies in Animal Crossing New Horizons, I didn't hesitate to buy them.
But would the really be black? The answer, reader, is no. The lilies are not a true black. But they are beautiful and definitely the vibe. See the unedited photos below to get a feel for the actual color of these flowers.
